Here at AVCon we're all about audience participation and that's why we want you, yes you, to come up with a fun and exciting design that can be featured on either a hoodie or a t-shirt. Your entry can originate in any medium and be as creative as you like. However it must feature our two lovely mascots; Ayvee and Switch.

There will be two prizes awarded for the two best designs, each one will have a chance at being our official t-shirt or hoodie for 2010.

Judging will take place during the third week of April (11th - 17th April 2010). Winners will be announced by 12:00AM (ACST) on Tuesday April 20th, 2010.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria equally: originality, creative interpretation of the theme and mascots, and technical skill.
Entries will be judged by Team AVCon Committee members and the Art Coordinator.
Contest BEGINS at 12:00:00 AM (ACST) on Friday 12th March, 2010 and ENDS at 11:59:59 PM (ACST) on Saturday April 10rd, 2010
HOW TO ENTER: Entrants must be at least 12 years old as of Saturday 6th March, 2010 and be an Australian Resident. Entrants must follow the competition instructions found on http://www.avcon.org.au/2010/tshirtcomp and submit a fully completed piece of artwork depicting both AVCon mascots. Works must be submitted in either EPS, PDF, PNG, GIF or JPEG file format but may be derived from any visual medium. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 (ACST) on Saturday 10th April, 2010 and be submitted digitally to rosie.coleman@avcon.org.au. Illegible, incomplete or superficial entries will not be accepted. Team AVCon reserves the right to deny entries that do not adhere to these conditions. Entrants may submit up to 3 completed entries.
SELECTION OF WINNERS: Winner will be selected over the week of April 11th to 17th by Team AVCon committee members and the Art Coordinator, on the basis of originality, creative interpretation of the theme and mascots, and technical skill. Winners will be announced by 12:00AM (ACST) on Tuesday April 20th, 2010. The Judges' decisions are final on all matters relating to the contest.
PRIZES: Two (2) 1st prize packages will be awarded consisting of the following; AU $100, (1) weekend pass to AVCon 2010, (1) either free t-shirt or hoodie depending on winners title, and the chance to have the design as the official AVCon T-Shirt or Hoodie for 2010, this will be determined by the judges based on suitability of the design, technical requirements and saleability. In the event of the design being rejected the judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Odds of winning are dependent on the number and nature of entries received. All prizes will be awarded with the assumption a suitable number of entries will be received. Prizes may not be transferred or exchanges. Team AVCon reserves the right to change prizes to that of equal or greater value. Team AVCon will only be held responsible for delivery of prizes. Taxes or fees are the sole responsibility of the entrant.
ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to all Australian Residents who are at least 12 years old as of Saturday 6th March, 2010 except employees of Team AVCon.
DELIVERY OF PRIZES AND VERIFICATION OF WINNERS: Potential winners who are under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence and their parent or legal guardian will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Prizes may be forfeited if documents are not returned within 10 days after mailing to potential winner or if prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable, or if the entrant cannot be contacted after reasonable attempt by Team AVCon (at its sole discretion). Winner agrees to allow Team AVCon’s use of his/her name, likeness and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without other compensation within Australian law.
GENERAL: This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court within the State of South Australia, Australia. Team AVCon is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, incomplete, misaddressed, incorrect or misdirected entries or communications, or errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in transmission of information. Team AVCon is not responsible for electronic communications which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind. Team AVCon refuses any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing, posting, uploading or downloading information in connection with, this Contest. In the event of any such cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted on the Contest Site and the winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received prior to such time. By participating in this Contest, entrants must accept the conditions stated in these Terms and Conditions, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges and warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in this Contest. By accepting a prize, winner agrees to release Team AVCon, its directors, employees, officers, and agents, including without limitation, their advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of the prize or participation in any prize-related activities.
