I going to attempt to attend AVCON this year, along with the other Tasmanians that are attending, and figured I sign up.

Interests/Hobbies:

first of all, Im and still am the Head Technician for AI-CON, it was pretty much obligatory for me to be the Engineer during the convention this year, Im the Typical Gamer that pretty much will play anything and on any platform, mainly PC these days though, enjoy most if not all FPS and RPG games, Also a Co-founder of AI-CON LANS which is our very own lanning group I have helped along the way with AI-CONS current Admin, Im also a Prop Builder, although I dont have time to do much what i used to any more, but get a few commissions every now and then, it also keeps me sane and my obsession with weapons of any kind

Anime and Manga wise, I'll watch and read anything, favorites being Onepiece, Hellsing Ultimate, Full metal panic, Fairy Tail and Soul Eater.

Music, Massive Drum and Bass fan, and well, pretty much anything electronic, although as a few random picks form different genres, i enjoy AC/DC, Flogging Molly, Hilltop hoods, Daft Punk and Infected Mushroom. I like variety I guess...

I'm Dave, I was the ninja with a fez (not a flying monkey) on Saturday, on Sunday I lost the fez somewhere so I bought some furry ears. I was also seen limping around on Sunday afternoon because I sprained my knee. Slid down the handrail out the front of the convention centre and landed very hard. Then didn't get it looked at right away. So I spent Sunday night at the RAH instead of the after party.

I spend WAY too much time on the intarwebz. I've been known to lurk on 4chan and 420chan (but never post - I really cannot stand forum dramas). I lose The Game far too much for my own good, and I'm your typical uni bum studying for an useless degree (Music Technology).

I'd like to think that I'm well and truly coming into being my nerdy self. I've spent the last day or so re-arranging my dressing table so it has all my collectables and whatnot on it. I watch anime rarely, but I do love reading manga very muchly. I currently need to finish off Banana Fish... I'm missing four volumes, so I'll need to order those in so I can actually read the series in its entirety.

I'm a gamer more than anything - anything musical, Bemani or RPG-related, I'll play. I'm slowly moving into other genres... My other half keeps nagging me to play Portal. It's on my Steam account and everything. Also, I play WoW. You'll get over it. For the rest of you, I'm Amulais on Caelestrasz

went to first avcon this year and loved it, hoping to continue to attend in coming years and get to know the community even further

I was in vg for almost the whole con, even when I wasnt rostered on. If I saw you without a pass I probably told you to go to reg to get one, even if you were a volunteer.

Hi, I recently signed up to get some info about AvCon. It was the first time I attended, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, props to the organisers! I thought I’d post my introduction.

I’m Joe, Giuseppe or Darth Giusephus, Male, 26. My interests are anime and music.
Fave Music: Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Karnivool (saw them at the Gov recently, they were amazing!), Cog
Some fave Anime: Evangelion, Elfen Lied, Chobits, Code Geass, Nogizaka No Haruka Himitsu, Claymore, Higurashi. Recent faves, Ghost Hound, Umineko no Naku Koro Ni.

Hello, I'm hoping to attend next year. I know it's a bit away yet but the convention seems exciting. I recently moved to Alice Springs and will be glad to get away for a while for an event!

Anime wise I like; Ghost Hunt, Inuyasha, Bleach, .hack (any of the various series), Vampire Knight, Ouran High School Club, FMA, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Slayers, and various others I can't think of offhand.
I enjoy a wide variety of RPG game though the Tales series is likely the highest on my list of favorites.

I enjoy anime (duh I guess?), rpgs (both video game and table top), some CCG's (mostly Magic), AMV creation (a pasttime I've had for years now), cosplaying (which I've only done a handful of times sadly) and spending time with the family.
