We're supplying GameCube controllers as they are more of a standard than the classic controller with traditional Nintendo franchise games. More people know how to play with a pad than with a Wii Mote. You're more than welcome to bring your own controls.

a thought had occoured. if the top 2 of every group stage (with a group stage containing 4 people i assume) then wont we get to the finals a lot slower. in the inital post you assume that we get to the final round after just two previous rounds before... but wont the amount of players work out like this

first round --- 64 people
secound round --- 32 people
third round (finals) --- 16 people

but given the fact that the top 2 people are safe and the other two are knocked out, shouldnt it continue further

fourth round --- 8 people
fifth round --- 4 people

if that's the case... you're gonna need to choose more tracks to allocate to the extra group stages

You're right, I've changed the brackets dramatically. More rounds just wouldn't work with the allocated time. Now going from 64, players down to 16, down to 8, then down to the final 4.

Only the winner goes through in round 1? Given 3 race rounds that seems excessive.
