I was wondering if any of the committee have looked into having Good Game come to AVCon, i think it would be a great idea for them to come for the gaming side of it. Tell me what you think about this.

Something VG would prob like to think of Is getting the guys from the Australian gamer podcast & ben "yahtzee" crowsaw down for avcon. I'm sure that alone would boost attendance if they/ben had a panel or did a live podcast. Just another idea I had.

yahtzee was at 2009 i believe... or at least the news went around that he was there.

any way, who cares if they like it or not, they are just a sponsor not a producer or anythink like that.
Plus they dont have a competative show on there network so i dont see a prob with it.

not quite what i meant, i meant as in its not like when a movie is made where you have a producer telling you what you can and cant do, channel 10 is "just a sponsor" in the sense that they cant tell you thay you cant do something, they can just refuse to give you things but they cant say "no you cant have that becasue we dont want it."

I know that they give heaps to avcon and that they are the Major sponsor.

yes but the ABC is not a competative broadcast station, only 7 & 9 are (and there minors) "The ABC is Australia's public broadcaster"-1 ABC.net.au

I dont think that stations 9,7 & 10 are "public" broadcasts, 9 quotes "National television broadcaster" so even they dont fall within the same as 10 & 7 i dont think. i may be wrong on that point but i do know that the ABC is NOT a competative station nor is the SBS.
