So many of us failed to even break even which is upsetting. I think it was really well organized though, no faults to the work put through by the staff but there were too many artists and that on top of the "secluded" area really impacted sales this year.

I would like to see us mixed in with the vendors, I'm certain that would help. Any idea how many more we'd be paying approx? If you currently include an extra pass plus the cost of a table for two people to share that's about $90+ each. derpfest offers tables for something like $200 with two passes included, are already placed within the vendor area and the selling period encompasses the friday as well. I realize they're a bit bigger but it already almost seems cheaper to pack up and head there instead.

Thank you for all the hard work you're putting in, again I'll say that I can't fault the work the staff and volunteers do but it would be nice to pay all that money for printing and table costs and not have to worry about IF we'll break even this year.

The prices we charge for the exhibitor hall are available in the pack that were sent out for artists as well. As you can see, there is a large difference between artists alley prices and exhibitor hall prices. Unfortunately, movement of artists into the exhibitor hall is not something that can be promised or even implied at the present moment as Team AVCon Inc is due to go through our AGM shortly.

Re printing costs, all I can recommend is requote requote requote. Don't go with the same place you always have been with, always check for new options each year, you may be able to snag yourself a bargain.

Printing costs aren't the problem, I've done my shopping around there over the last few years I've had a table. What I'm saying is that because of the changes made to artist alley our sales plummeted to the point where some of us lost money and given that the majority of us are students we can't exactly afford to that that risk.

Artist Alley this year was pretty badass, but the location was awful. I felt a bit bad for the artists there :/

I don't think the location was that bad, it just needed more people to flow through. If it was held in the same spot and there was something on the other side of it that would invite more traffic over then it might be doable in a way that's still okay for the artists next year.

Still with the supply/demand of it all I think the tables probably cost a bit much for the number of artists present that had to compete with each other on the day.

The only thing that you could force people to flow through with it is the toilets....

Free food for all?
