After an epic space battle, Team AVCon has secured the University of Adelaide for AVCon 2008 on July 26-27th!

As I type this our commanders are preparing the mighty convention fleet, soon to announce details for all your favourites be they videogames, anime, events or vendors.

In the meantime AVCon requires dedicated men and women for service in the AVCon volunteer Space Force! Known for insanely dedicated members and awesome parties we need your help to run AVCon. Remember; Service guarantees citizenship!

Panels

Panels are a great way to learn and interact with industry experts and experienced hobbyists, but don't forget to check out the Events, Video Games and Art as well. We will be announcing panels as we confirm the details over the next couple of months.

AMV Panel

If you are interested in AMV's get yourself over to the AMV Live competition. During the event a couple of experienced AMV creators will talk you through the basics of importing DVD footage into editing software and talk about what the contestants are doing during the event, plus there will be plenty of time to ask questions of course.

Cosplay Panel

No matter how much experience you have with costuming, there is always more to learn.

Join members from the Australian Costumers' Guild as they share their secrets to costume success in a fun and informal chat with plenty of time to answer your questions.

Lolita Panel

Join several local Lolita's as they talk about the Lolita fashion style in Australia. Whether you are just getting started or have already started your wardrobe, this is a great opportunity to share your opinions and experiences or find out more about this fascinating fashion style.
