After an epic space battle, Team AVCon has secured the University of Adelaide for AVCon 2008 on July 26-27th!

As I type this our commanders are preparing the mighty convention fleet, soon to announce details for all your favourites be they videogames, anime, events or vendors.

In the meantime AVCon requires dedicated men and women for service in the AVCon volunteer Space Force! Known for insanely dedicated members and awesome parties we need your help to run AVCon. Remember; Service guarantees citizenship!

- Tournament Games at AVCon!

Video Games are fun to play alone and fun to play against others, but they're even better when you can claim glory for being the best! Come along and join some of the great video game events we have planned for this year.

Handheld Gaming

Tetris DS

A perennial favourite, the Tetris DS competition heats up every year! Bring along your DS and fight a frenzy of falling blocks as you compete to become the Tetris champ!

Pokémon Diamond/Pearl

We’re taking the Pokémon competition from the DS to the Wii, with Pokémon Battle Revolution to animate battles in their full 3D glory. Bring along your DS, a copy of Diamond or Pearl and a tournament legal team to compete to be the AVCon 2008 Pokémon Master!

Pre-registration extension!

AVcon has decided to extend pre-registration until the 19th of July!

Passes are still available online at the shop or at Pulp Fiction Comics who can be found at 34a King William Street just down from the start of Rundall Mall.

Those who don't obtain tickets before the 19th will still be able to pay at the door but will not be able to claim the discounted rate or purchase a golden ticket.
