Network Ten gives leg-up to AVCON

Wednesday, June 17, 2009
Network Ten Adelaide has signed as primary sponsor of AVCon, Adelaide's only Anime and Video Game Convention and the largest such festival in Australia, to be held at Adelaide Convention Centre for the first time this year (25th and 26th of July 2009 with opening night on the 24th).

"Network Ten Adelaide is the leading television network with a primary audience of 18-49 year olds. For many years TEN has been the leading network with under 40s generally," says Rob Richards, the Marketing and Publicity Manager for Network Ten Adelaide. "These strengths, combined with our youth focus, make TEN the ideal partner for AVCon. We are delighted to be sponsoring AVCon 2009 and look forward to seeing our relationship grow and develop over time."

Poster Drive Winners

Our poster drive has officially ended and the Winners are................. Kstars!! (team member names to come)

Thank you to everyone who put up posters, keep up the the awesome work. We want ALL of Adelaide to know who we are - so tell your friends, tell your family, tell your enemies, hey even tell your teachers!

BTW we now have some awesome bookmarks available to be given out at local businesses (or to be handed out at schools), feel free to volunteer to help with this. There are two designs one of Switch and one of Ayvee.

The Indie Games Room is at Full Power!

The Indie Games Room featuring at this year’s AVCon has received an astonishing array and diverse set of South Australian made games. With in excess of 10 submissions to get up games from both professional and novice based studio groups, this year promises to be the biggest and best yet.

From high end hard core race car action, to iPhone sports craziness, from Wii smash and bash to one inch superhero craziness, from Hadron Collider particle insanity to the very Meanest of Beans, the Indy Games Room in 2009 will be the place to be for homegrown video game brilliance.

Watch this space for updates over the coming weeks!
