AVCon competitions are a chance to share your creativity with the community, whether you write, draw, edit videos, build props, make manga, assemble modelkits or create short-form content.
AVCon 2026 has a range of competitions open across the Festival, with additional 18+ competitions available for AVCon After Dark. Please read the entry form carefully before submitting, as each competition has its own rules, eligibility requirements and deadlines!
Enter Our Console Tournaments!
Ready to jump in? AVCon’s console tournaments are back for 2026, with matches running across Saturday, Sunday, and After Dark.
Entry is free with a valid AVCon ticket for the day your tournament is running, or an After Dark ticket for tournaments held during the After Dark session. Each tournament will have trophies and medals up for grabs, with select tournaments also featuring prize pools of $350 each.
Check out the tournament line-up below, pick your game, and pre-register through Start.gg. Entry on the day may be available if there is capacity, but spots are limited, so register early to avoid disappointment.
This year, we’re working with Big Cheese Grassroots Gaming to help run our fighting game tournaments! Their team brings grassroots tournament experience to AVCon, helping with brackets, player flow, and smooth tournament operations across the weekend!

A bit of planning goes a long way to making your AVCon experience relaxed and enjoyable. Use the information below to help organise your visit!
Early Badge Pickup Sessions
Every ticket to AVCon gets exchanged for an official event badge and lanyard. To help you get into the action faster on Saturday, AVCon will be hosting several early pickup sessions where you can collect your badge and lanyard ahead of time.
What you need to bring:
Simply show us your printed/digital QR Code (emailed to you after your online purchase) or bring along your physical ticket (you get to keep your physical ticket as a keepsake!). You can even pickup your friends’ badges and lanyards if they provide their physical tickets or QR Codes!

Day tickets for AVCon 2024 and AVCon 2025 sold out, and we are expecting another huge year in 2026! Tickets are limited for each day and for the full weekend, so if you know you want to come along, it is a good idea to lock your tickets in early!
Before you purchase, please read our Ticketing Terms and Policies and our list of accepted concession cards. Companion Card holders can add a Companion Card ticket to their online order when purchasing and will need to present their Companion Card at entry.
