Get ready Adelaide! The team at AVCon HQ has been cooking up something brand new for Saturday night of AVCon weekend, and it’s something you’re going to love!
Presenting the all-new AVCon After Dark – AVCon for adults!
From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29th, we will open the Jubilee Pavilion at Adelaide Showground, and the kid gloves will be off!
At AVCon After Dark, ratings will be unrestricted, so we can do all the things we can’t do during AVCon’s family-friendly day events!
Tickets can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite or at the door on the night of the event. If you’re an existing AVCon 2024 ticketholder, you can grab a $5 discount on your ticket! Please note this is an 18+ event!
Featured AVcon After Dark Content
The entirety of the AVCon floor will open up during AVCon After Dark, and there will be no age restriction, meaning all the bloody gaming, saucy anime, and naughty language will be here and uncensored! Enjoy the AVCon After Dark festival with a selection of alcohol services, including delicious anime and gaming-themed cocktails, which you can enjoy as you check out all our After Dark exclusive content!
Cirque Du Cosplay
The night will be capped off by the amazing Starling Strix, who will take over the Main Stage for a star-studded lineup in ‘Cirque Du Cosplay, ’ a 90-minute extravaganza of skill and sex appeal featuring 12 performers covering pole dancing, burlesque and fire twirling with a nerdy twist!
A feast for the senses, Cirque Du Cosplay, will feature a cavalcade of local and interstate acts performing stunningly sexy and comedically captivating routines featuring characters from God of War to Jujutsu Kaisen. Burlesque, pole dancing, circus (including fire twirling) and lyrapole acts with some of the most skilled performers Australia has to offer!

Full Alcohol Service
What is an 18+ festival without a few delicious beverages? AVCon After Dark features full alcohol service, including beers, wines and a range of tasty nerdy cocktails! Grab a brew while you play some Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, have a snifter of wine as you watch some cultured anime screenings or indulge in a cocktail or two while watching the amazing performers in Cirque Du Cosplay.
After Dark Panels
The amazing Melbourne D&D troupe Let’s Roll for Dragons will be having a drink or two and taking us through a special Dungeons and Dragons campaign called Dungeons and Dragons and Dating. The ultimate mash-up of reality TV and fantasy! Embark on romantic quests with iconic characters from pop culture. The audience will hold the fate of the players in their hands through drinking games, voting, dice rolling, and more.
Our friend Captain Patch-It takes over a panel room for a complete set of After Dark shows featuring cosplay guests, a beverage or two, and no filters. Putting together last-minute cosplays on stage, saucy storytelling that may or may not actually be lies, and the return of the Cosplay Mystery date! Will our cosplayers find love? Come find out!
Midnight Lane and Exhibitors
Artist Alley will be turned into ‘Midnight Lane,’ where our fabulous artists will sell a variety of artworks for only refined adult palates. Get ready for spicy commissions and lewd artwork from our favourite local and interstate artists!
Our Exhibitor area will also stay open up late where you might find some deals on some special goods!
Inktaku Alley
As the sun sets and AVCon After Dark takes over, the InkTaku Alley transforms into a haven for those seeking something a little more risqué. Prepare to be tantalised by a stunning array of NSFW tattoo designs, from lewds to noods, that will be sure to impress your friends and disappoint your parents!

Mature Video Games
The console free-play area will open up to MA15+ and R18+ games, from Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to DOOM!
Mature console tournaments will also be running all evening long. We’re going to see who is the best at tearing people limb from limb with Mortal Kombat 1 or shooting it up with Halo 2: Anniversary (MCC) or CoD MW3. Old AVCon favourite Ultimate Gamer will be running a mature version all throughout the evening – with no restrictions (bring back Muscle March!)
The Gaming Stage will open up to a variety of interactive and hilarious hijinks with Beat Saber, Hades Hotseat, and a humorous stage play through of ‘I Love You, Colonel Sanders!’.
Our friends at Adelaide Community MeetUps powered by Twitch will be keeping the TwitchAdelaide Stream Studio running all night, so come say hi and check out the spicy games running on screen as they raise money for Game on Cancer!
Our Indie Games Room will stay open, and a variety of IGR devs will showcase their work all night (including more adult-friendly game builds!).
Mature Tabletop Gaming
We will be running adult-only RPGs! Think Vampire: The Masquerade, Call of Cthulhu and more! Our board game library will also remain open during this session, so grab a drink (perhaps sink your fangs into a mortal) and come experience the more adult-rated tabletop area!
CDW/Flinders Art Zone
CDW/Flinders Art Zone will feature a Hentai Drawing Workshop as well as Cosplay Model Life Drawing all night. You can also enter our Adults Only quick draw competition to let your wild side out while winning great prizes! Our Adults Only Fanfic and Pre-drawn competition entries will also be showcased and crowned!
