Zalariacos
Zalariacos will be judging the AVCon Beginner, Intermediate & Skit Competitions.
Zalariacos (or Zali for short) had been an anime fan from a young age and first heard about a little event called AVCon in 2009 after a friend told her it was a place where people dressed up like anime characters (an amazing concept!). Little did she know that after searching it up online, it would ignite a lifelong passion for cosplay and content creation!
First learning the basics of sewing and following patterns from her mother to make her first costume in time for AVCon 2009 (Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew) it wasn’t long before she was mastering the craft with online tutorials and other resources to draft their own patterns and create an extensive range of handmade competition-level cosplays, including Witch Mercy, Lightning Farron, and Bayonetta.
Zali loves nothing more than spending time chatting to like-minded people and nerding out over their favourite games and anime (including playing too much Magic: the Gathering).
