Volunteering

AVCon enlists the help of over 400 volunteers to assist the Elect and Committee with the delivery of AVCon’s events, including the AVCon Festival. Volunteers range in age from 16 to 60 and help out in various activities to ensure our attendees have a fantastic experience.

Recruitment

Recognisable from their blue t-shirts – AVCon staff help run larger parts of the Festival, from managing panel programming to tournament organisers. Staff roles cover all aspects of AVCon, including behind-the-scenes teams that help put on events.

Community Groups

AVCon was born from two fan groups located at Adelaide Uni some 22 years ago. That’s why we feel it’s important we give similar groups, clubs or societies a platform to show themselves off and look for new members who share their common interests.
