What is AVCon?
AVCon is Australia’s premier anime and gaming festival and one of the largest events of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Held annually, AVCon celebrates Japanese animation, video gaming, tabletop gaming, game development, artists, technology, and cosplay.
Organised by Team AVCon Incorporated, a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer-run organization, AVCon is dedicated to enriching the community through anime- and gaming-focused events. Alongside AVCon, Team AVCon Incorporated hosts various other events throughout the year for professionals, hobbyists, and the general public, ensuring accessibility and enjoyment for all skill levels.
As a not-for-profit, all proceeds are reinvested into improving AVCon year after year. We focus on promoting local talent, growing the creative community, and offering South Australia a world-class pop culture experience that is their own.
AVCon is held at the Adelaide Showground, which is a large and modern venue and one of the largest under-cover exhibition spaces in the Southern Hemisphere. In 2025, AVCon will utilise both the Jubilee and Wayville Pavilions providing over 16,000 m2 of event space.
With a legacy spanning 22 years, AVCon has established itself as a cornerstone of Australian pop culture, earning respect nationwide across multiple industries and communities.
Introducing our Creator Badge
This year, we’re focusing on collaborating with creators from all over Australia to spread the word about the incredible event that is AVCon. We welcome all types of creators—cosplayers, streamers, photographers, YouTubers, podcasters, TikTokers, and social media influencers. If you create content, we want to hear from you!
The AVCon Creator Badge allows us to partner with creators to promote AVCon while providing them with special access and unique content tailored to their audiences.
In 2025, AVCon will be taking place in South Australia at the Adelaide Showground on:
- Saturday, July 5th & Sunday, July 6th, 2025
- 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (both days)
- AVCon After Dark, an 18+ event on Saturday, July 5th, from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for an AVCon Creator Badge, you must:
- Read, understand and agree to all the AVCon Code of Conduct.
- Be a creator on a prominent online platform.
- Have an established following.
- Be active in creating quality content.
- Be somewhat aligned to AVCon’s core themes and concepts.
AVCon Creator Badge Requirements
If you are selected to hold a Creator Badge, the following requirements will need to be fulfilled:
- Pre-event announcement – Let your audience know you’ll be attending AVCon on your platforms.
- Event coverage – Create and share content during AVCon, such as photos, videos or live streams.
- Post-event wrap-up – Share a review, recap, or thank-you post about your AVCon experience.
What included with the creator Badge
- Free entry to the entire AVCon Anime & Gaming Festival and AVCon After Dark.
- Early access to the event (30 minutes before general public entry).
- Promotion on the AVCon website, app and social media platforms.
- Special hotel rates at Quest Apartment Hotels (379 King William St, Adelaide) will also be available to successful applicants to stay close to the venue, with details provided upon acceptance.

- Deadline: Applications close on June 13th, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
- Applications will be evaluated as they are received. Please allow for up to two weeks for our team to review your application and provide a response.
- Please read the application carefully and answer all questions to the best of your ability. Only one application per creator will be accepted.
- The application will require details about you, your usual content, your primary platform and other platforms you are active on.
