Accessible Toilets and Change Facilities
The Adelaide Showground has accessible and special-needs toilets for attendees with disabilities, parents with young children, and those with additional needs. All accessible and special-needs toilets are also wheelchair-friendly.
These facilities are strategically located across the Showgrounds—at the Goyder and Jubilee Pavilion foyers, the Atrium, Ridley Centre (Market Bazaar), the Dog Pavilion, and adjacent Stirling Angas Hall. These spaces aren’t exclusively for people with disabilities; they also extend to parents with young children, making them an invaluable resource for families.
All accessible and special needs toilets include fold-down baby change tables. Moreover, permanent changing tables are available in both the Northern Jubilee Pavilion and Atrium parenting rooms, providing convenient solutions for caregivers should the need arise.
Companion cards
To ensure that attendees with disabilities can fully participate in AVCon 2025, the event accepts the Companion Card. This Card offers free entry to people accompanying a person with a disability, allowing for a more seamless and enjoyable experience for both.
If pre-purchasing your AVCon 2025 tickets, please email ticketing@avcon.org.au regarding adding a companion card ticket. On the day of the Festival, you can simply show your card at our ticketing booth to gain entry!
Mobility
The Adelaide Showground has ramps and lifts to make all areas accessible and wheelchair-friendly. AVCon has ensured that stages such as our Main Stage have ramp access and people on standby to assist where required. Stage seating is also accessible, with wheelchair-friendly options available.
Catering for all dietary requirements
AVCon 2025 has ensured a wide range of catering options are available and that vegetarians, vegans, and individuals with gluten-free or dairy-free diets have ample choices. These options are clearly indicated on menus, making it easier for attendees to select food that aligns with their dietary preferences.
