Our Previous Work

In 2022, we have had the pleasure of working with several partners to support their independent events.

Oz Comic-Con 2022 – Homegrown Adelaide

Team AVCon worked with our friends at Oz-Comic Con to run a free-play space at their Oz-Comic Con Homegrown Adelaide event. We provided a family-friendly video game space equipped with consoles and games for attendees to play freely. Our team also ran Overcooked 2 and Rocket League gaming tournaments for attendees to play over the weekend. Our famous AVCon Pikachu also took photos with attendees and entertained guests.

Wakefield 2022: Game On! – Wakefield Regional Council

Team AVCon worked with our friends at the Wakefield Regional Council to run a one-day event emphasising kid-friendly gaming. We set up a kid-friendly video game free play space with over 14 gaming consoles. Our tabletop team also ran board games and kid-friendly Dungeons and Dragons campaigns which were very popular with kids and teenagers.

YorKon 2022 – Yorke Penisula Council

Team AVCon worked with our friends at the Yorke Penisula Council at their regional gaming festival Yorkon 2022. We provided a family-friendly video game space and a mature 15+ gaming space equipped with consoles and games for attendees to play freely. We also provided a tabletop space that consisted of volunteer-run board games, and roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons. We were able to tailor our content to suit a younger audience that may be new to gaming and accommodate more experienced gamers.
