Wargaming
The Warhorns are calling! Get your soldiers in rank and file! Our friends over at Table Top Warfare will be running war games over the weekend. Throughout the weekend, they will run multiple games and tournaments for players of all levels. If you’re new to wargaming, come and check it out!
Over the weekend, Tabletop Warfare will also be running several tournaments; these include Warhammer 40K on Saturday and Blood Bowl on Sunday! You can purchase your tournament entry in-store at Tabletop Warfare Prospect.
Trading Card Games (TCGs)
Presented by Good Games, join us for learn-to-play sessions that run all weekend long, where seasoned experts will guide you through the ins and outs of popular TCGs like Magic: The Gathering and One Piece, to name a few. With Learn to Play decks provided for various major TCGs, everyone can jump in and come and learn how to play.
Roleplaying Games
PLAYERS!! Roll for Initiative!!!
All weekend long, our tabletop area will have multiple RolePlaying games running. Each game will be a one-shot, with everything you need to play and jump in provided (such as character sheets and dice!). Whether you are a seasoned adventurer looking to try a new game or are looking to play your first game – all ages and all experience levels are encouraged to join in.
With the inclusion of AVCon Afterdark, We will be running adult-only RPGs! Think Vampire: The Masquerade, Call of Cthulhu and more! Grab a drink (perhaps sink your fangs into a mortal) and come experience the more adult-rated RPGs on Saturday night!

Board Games
Come check out the AVCon board game library, provided by VR Distribution, for various board games people can borrow and play. It’s like a regular library, but instead of books, it contains various tabletop games. You can browse the collection, pick a game that interests you, and then play it with your friends or other attendees. It’s a great way to try new games and discover a new favourite!
VR Distribution will also be running board game demos throughout the weekend. Have you ever wanted to learn how to play Ticket to Ride properly? How about Mysterium? Come on down to VR Distribution’s learn-to-play booth and finally find out who truly has the longest road.
South Australian Riichi Mahjong
Come check out our fellow community group, the South Australian Riichi Mahjong, as they showcase Japanese Mahjong all weekend long.
